Today, meet John Dinbokowitz (JD), Nlets’ Network Services Manager. He has been with Nlets for 18 years and shared his favorite part of working at Nlets (and so much more) 

Q. What Are the Primary Responsibilities of Your Role? 

A. I provide direction and oversight on all things related to the network. My team is responsible for the WAN and LAN infrastructure as well as maintaining the Palo Alto firewalls policy rules. We also manage the WIN network as part of our managed services offering. My typical day includes supporting the Network Services team, working with other departments within Nlets as well as providing support to our members. 

Q. What is Your Favorite Part About Working at Nlets? Why? 

A. I would have to say one of my favorite parts about working at Nlets is that what I do impacts the law enforcement community. I love making a difference and knowing the work I provide is keeping our officers and the citizens they protect safe.  

Q. When You Are Not at Work, What Do You Like to Do? Hobbies? Secret Talents? 

A. I enjoy playing golf (even though I’m not very good at it), hiking, and spending time with family and friends. My wife and I also hope to start traveling more and seeing a little bit of the world. 

Q. Why Did You Initially Choose to Work at Nlets? How Did You Hear About It and What Has Kept You Here?  

A. I worked for a networking company that provided technical network and security support to Nlets, so I knew a little bit of what they did for the law enforcement community. Frank reached out to let me know that they were looking for a network engineer and asked if I would be interested. I enjoy what I do and how Nlets has treated me and my family for so many years.
